The UT Dallas Quantum Center advances research, education, and workforce development in quantum information science and engineering (QISE). A foundational pillar of the Center is ExpandQISE, a multi-year initiative supported by the National Science Foundation that strengthens UT Dallas’ role as a national hub for quantum education and interdisciplinary collaboration.
Through ExpandQISE, the Quantum Center expands access to quantum learning, integrates research with education, and prepares a diverse pipeline of students for careers in quantum science, technology, and industry.
ExpandQISE is an NSF-funded program designed to broaden participation and build institutional capacity in quantum information science and engineering. At UT Dallas, ExpandQISE is fully integrated into the mission of the Quantum Center, supporting coordinated growth across education, research, and community engagement.
The award enables UT Dallas to develop sustainable quantum programs that connect physics, engineering, computer science, and mathematics while lowering barriers to entry for students new to the field.
